Terms of Service

Note on status: These Terms are in effect as of the date above and reflect how Laumika actually operates today. We are finalizing our policies with legal counsel and may refine this page; the current version is accurate and binding.

1. What Laumika is

Laumika is a creator directory. Creators build profiles showing their work, their audience and how to reach them. Brands search the directory, unlock creators’ business contact details, and post opportunities. Creators can also post collaborations to work with each other. Agencies can manage a creator’s profile when that creator invites them to. A creator can end an agency’s access at any time.

By using Laumika, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use it.

2. Who can use it

You must be 18 or over. By using Laumika you confirm that you are, and that what you tell us is accurate.

3. Accounts and profiles

3.1 Account types

Laumika has creator, brand and agency accounts. You’re responsible for keeping your sign-in details to yourself and for what happens under your account.

3.2 Profiles we create

We build creator profiles from information creators have already published — their public bio, photo, follower figures and social links. We record where each piece came from.

Where a creator has publicly listed a business contact, we may record it. It’s stored privately, never displayed, and not currently served to anyone through the platform.

If we’ve made a profile for you:

• You can claim it by verifying one of the social accounts on it. It’s then yours to edit, publish or unpublish.
• You can have it removed, whether or not you claim it, using the “Request removal” link at the bottom of the profile — no account needed — or by writing to contact@laumika.com. The profile comes down immediately and is permanently deleted after a short review window.
• You can leave it. It shows only what you’ve already made public, and nobody can obtain contact details through it.

3.3 Other people named on a profile

A profile may name people who don’t use Laumika — a manager, an agent, someone who gave a testimonial, a contact at a brand. If that’s you and you don’t own the profile, write to contact@laumika.com and we’ll correct or remove it. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle information about people who aren’t users.

4. Content and ownership

4.1 Information from public sources

Profile information we’ve drawn from public sources is hosted on the basis that it’s already public. Creators keep whatever rights they hold in it, and can claim, edit or remove it as described in 3.2.

4.2 Content you add

When you claim a profile or add anything to Laumika — a bio, portfolio images, video links, testimonials, an opportunity, a collaboration post — you keep ownership of it. You give us permission to host, display and distribute it on Laumika so that the directory works.

That permission ends when you delete the content or your profile, with four exceptions we can’t avoid and would rather name:

• A link preview already copied by Slack, an inbox or a search engine stays on that service’s systems.
• Anything already downloaded, screenshotted or copied by someone who saw it stays with them.
• For up to an hour after you delete an image, copies already held in caches can still be served while they age out.
• For up to two hours after you delete an image, an upload link already issued for it can still place a copy back.

4.3 You’re responsible for what you add

You confirm that you have the right to everything you put on Laumika — including any other person’s name or information — and that it doesn’t infringe anyone’s rights or break these Terms.

5. What’s not allowed

Laumika is a professional, safe-for-work platform. These are prohibited anywhere on it:

• Sexual or adult content of any kind — profiles, portfolios, collaboration posts, opportunities, or anywhere else.
• Fake, impersonating or misleading profiles. Don’t pretend to be someone else, and don’t misrepresent your identity, your audience or who you work with.
• Harassment, abuse, hate speech or threats toward anyone.
• Scraping, harvesting or bulk-extracting our data or anyone’s data by automated means, without our written permission. (This governs your use of the platform. Our own creation of profiles from public sources, described in 3.2, is a separate activity covered by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.)
• Getting around our security or access controls, including the contact gating.
• Anything illegal, or using Laumika to help with something illegal.

We may remove content, suspend or close accounts that break these standards.

Reporting. Every creator profile carries a “Report this profile” link, and every collaboration post carries “Report this post.” Reporting requires an account. You can also write to contact@laumika.com about anything on the platform — including an opportunity, which doesn’t yet have a report link of its own.

6. Contact details and opportunities

Creators’ business contact details are gated. They never appear on a public profile. A signed-in user can unlock a creator’s contact through Laumika’s reveal flow, and we record that the reveal happened.

Contact details obtained through Laumika are for legitimate business outreach only. You may not resell them, pass them on, or use them for spam or anything unlawful.

7. Fees

Laumika is free to use. We may introduce paid features later. If we do, we’ll give notice and update these Terms and our Privacy Policy before anyone is charged.

8. Services we rely on

Laumika runs on services provided by other companies — hosting, database and authentication, email delivery, and bot protection on our removal-request form. Your use of Laumika is also subject to those companies’ terms where they apply. The Privacy Policy lists them and says what each receives. We don’t use analytics or advertising services.

9. Deleting your account

Creators can delete their profile in Settings. It comes off Laumika immediately, you have 30 days to change your mind, and after that it’s permanently deleted. Your sign-in survives unless you ask us to close it. The Privacy Policy explains what happens in detail, including what we keep and what we can’t take back.

Brands and agencies can close their account in Settings. Closing deactivates the company record and signs you out; it doesn’t delete your sign-in or the opportunities you posted. To have the account removed, write to contact@laumika.com.

Anyone whose profile we created can have it removed without an account, using the link on the profile.

We may suspend or close your access if you break these Terms, or for any lawful reason.

10. No guarantees

Laumika is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We don’t guarantee that any profile, contact detail, opportunity or other content on the platform is accurate, complete or reliable — including profiles we built from public sources. Follower figures and audience data come from creators or from public sources and we don’t independently audit them.

11. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, AF Limited, LLC and its officers, members and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of Laumika.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless us and our officers, members, employees, independent contractors, attorneys, and agents, from and against all claims, actions, loss, liabilities, expenses, costs, or demands, including without limitation legal and accounting fees, for all damages directly, indirectly, or consequentially resulting or allegedly resulting from your actions, or the actions of another person under your authority, including your use, misuse, or inability to use Laumika, or any breach of these Terms by you or another person under your authority.

We will promptly notify you by electronic mail of any such claim or suit, and we may cooperate in the defense of it, each of us bearing our own costs of that cooperation. We reserve the right to participate in the defense of any such claim or suit at our own expense and with legal counsel of our own choosing, and to assume control of that defense if we consider it necessary; we are not obligated to do so.

This section applies only to people who have accepted these Terms. It does not apply to anyone whose profile Laumika created and who has not claimed it — see Section 13.

13. Profiles we create

Laumika creates creator profiles from information creators have already made public, as described in Section 3.2 and in our Privacy Policy. A creator whose profile we created has not registered with Laumika, has not accepted these Terms, and has not authorized us to create it.

A profile we created is not your acceptance of anything. We create these profiles without asking, and their existence places no obligation on you. In particular, the indemnification in Section 12 applies only to people who have accepted these Terms by creating an account or claiming a profile. It does not apply to you because we made a profile about you, and it does not apply to you for asking us to remove it.

No affiliation or endorsement. A profile we created does not indicate that the creator uses Laumika, endorses Laumika, or has any relationship with us. We display only information the creator has already published, we identify where each piece came from, and a creator’s photo on an unclaimed profile is displayed from wherever the creator already hosts it publicly rather than copied onto our servers.

Removal, without an account. Anyone whose profile we created can have it removed using the link at the bottom of that profile. No account is needed, these Terms need not be accepted, and no explanation is required. The profile comes down immediately and is permanently deleted after a short review window. Removal can also be requested at contact@laumika.com.

Claiming. A creator who claims their profile creates an account and accepts these Terms at that point, and these Terms apply from then on.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We’ll post the new version with a new effective date and give reasonable notice of material changes. Continuing to use Laumika after a change means you accept it.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
